Kingfishers Girls and Womens Development Program 2026
At the Beaudesert Kingfishers, Play Like a Girl isn’t just a slogan — it’s a mindset.
This program - open to all players, returning, new or even players from other clubs - was created to give girls and women of all ages the chance to learn, grow, and fall in love with rugby league in a space that celebrates confidence, connection, and community. Whether you’ve never touched a footy before or you’re already hooked on the game, you belong here.
Over 6 weeks, our participants build skills on and off the field — from tackling and teamwork to fitness, confidence, and wellbeing.
Led by an incredible team of mentors and coaches, the program will be facilitated by Emily Hall (Strength & Conditioning Coach) and Mick Hancock, alongside NRLW players and our amazing group of female players, coaches, and club members — with a few of our male coaches lending a hand too.
We’re proud to continue Beaudesert’s strong legacy in women’s rugby league — and to make sure every girl who joins knows she has a place in the game.

FAQ
Everyone! The program is open to girls aged 6 through to seniors, whether you’ve played before or are brand new to rugby league. Groups are split by age so everyone feels comfortable and supported.
NO! That’s what is so great!
Members of other clubs can sign up too! No strings attached, no transfers, no permits. Just pay your insurance and you’re good to go!
This program is for the growth of the girls comp everywhere!
FREE! For registered players: Included in your season fees (when you’ve signed up for the 2026 season).
Junior Non-affiliated players: $80, which includes insurance and polo shirt.
If you later join a team, a percentage of this is deducted from your season fees (non affiliated players only)
Senior Non-affiliated players (19+): $150 (QRL insurance cost only) includes polo shirt.
Program-only participants (from other clubs): $80, which includes insurance and polo shirt.
We are only charging enough to cover insurance costs - this is a not-for-profit program. .
Because girls deserve their own space to shine! This program focuses on creating a supportive, empowering environment that builds confidence and helps girls feel comfortable learning and playing together.

6-week program
U6–U11: 5:00pm–5:45pm
U12+ and Seniors: 6:00pm–7:30pm
👉 Seniors will also have the option of a second session each week to train with regular season coaches.
(Some sessions to be held at BSHS for use of facilities)
Beaudesert Kingfisher members can register with their season registrations via MySideline.
Non-Affiliated Players can also register via MySideline.
External players will be able to register with an online form.
