About Our Club

The Beaudesert Kingfishers Junior Rugby League Club is proud to be a welcoming, inclusive home for rugby league players of all ages and abilities. From our U6s right through to seniors and open teams, we provide opportunities for boys, girls, men, and women to learn, grow, and enjoy the game.

We’re especially proud of our thriving girls’ and women’s teams, and are committed to supporting the growth of the women’s game through dedicated development programs and initiatives. In 2026, we’re excited to launch a Little League for our Mini Kingies, giving our youngest players a fun, safe, and skill-focused introduction to rugby league.

At the Kingfishers, it’s more than just footy – it’s about building confidence, teamwork, and lifelong friendships while being part of a supportive, community-focused club. Whether you’re just starting out or taking your game to the next level, there’s a place for you in the Kingfishers family.

Frequently Asked Questions

We have teams from Under 6s all the way through to senior and open teams, including girls’ and women’s teams. We’re also launching our Mini Kingies Little League in the 2026 season for our youngest future players!

The junior season typically runs from March to September, with sign-ons and pre-season training starting early in the year.

Most training sessions and home games are held at Willis Park, Beaudesert, our home ground.

We play away games around the Gold Coast, all the way to Tweed and some as close as Jimboomba or Mt Tamborine.

Registrations are completed online through PlayRugbyLeague.com. We share updates and registration links on our social media and website before the season starts.

Age groups are based on the calendar year. For example, if your child is turning 10 at any point in 2026, they’ll play in the Under 10s.

Absolutely! We’re proud to have growing numbers in our girls and women’s teams, and we’re launching new initiatives to continue developing the female game.
